Treatment Types

I initially came to Anne for a running injury. She was able to treat my injury and have me back to running. During the process Anne and I were also able to address other areas of my health. I hadn’t realized how much my high stress levels, anxiety and insomnia were impacting me until I saw the difference in my body and my sleep with acupuncture and some herbal and dietary suggestions. Anne is now one of my go to health practitioners.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into areas of the body. The needles are used to stimulate the nervous system, increase blood flow, decrease swelling and move the Qi (energy) through the body. All needles are single use and sterile. Acupuncture can be used to treat most health concerns and is often used for concerns such as injuries, pain, anxiety, stress, digestive problems, and many more.

Each session will be tailored to what is happening in your body that day. Needles will be inserted into various areas of the body and left in for 10-25 minutes while you relax under the infrared heat lamp (and possibly have a nap). I may also incorporate cupping, moxabustion, and acupressure or Tui Na massage into your acupuncture treatment.

Cost: Initial appointment $105, Follow up appointments $95

Cupping

Cupping is the use of glass or plastic cups on the body to create suction. Cupping can help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, detoxification, and relaxation. The cups draw blood flow into the tissues and activates blood and antibodies coming to the area in order to start a healing process.

A standalone cupping session is approximately 20-25 minutes and is ideal after your initial consultation and treatment if you want to focus on a smaller area of injury or pain. If you have multiple areas you would like to focus on a full acupuncture and cupping session would be beneficial.

Cost: Initial appointment $105, Follow up cupping session $70

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy sessions are designed to address the entire nervous system and its impact on the body. Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.

Craniosacral therapy is a very light touch and relaxing type of session. Clients usually keep their clothes on during the session and are able to fully relax into it. At times, 1-2 acupuncture needles may be inserted to enhance the craniosacral treatment. Each craniosacral therapy session is approximately 60 minutes in length.

Cost: $105
